Insurance Information
Chiropractic can be covered by a variety of sources depending on your situation. There is no need to have a doctor’s referral to see Dr. Sukh.
Extended Health Plans
Most extended health plans have chiropractic and foot orthotics coverage. Many reimburse you for 80% or more of the treatment costs. Contact your individual plan to find out specific coverage information. You’ll pay at the time of service, then submit your receipts to your health plan for reimbursement.
ICBC
Have you been in a car accident? There is no fee to visit Dr. Sukh for ICBC-related injuries thanks to their new pilot program, in which we participate.
If ICBC doesn’t cover your treatments, you might have access to coverage from your lawyer. Some cover treatment costs and then recoup their costs when your case is settled.
MSP for Individuals on Low-Income Assistance
Those who earn less than about $28,000 per year are considered low income and can have 10 treatments partially subsidized by the BC Medical Services Plan. The treatments can include chiropractic, registered massage therapy, naturopathy, physiotherapy and podiatry. No doctor’s referral is necessary. We’ll just need your care card number.
Worksafe BC (WCB)
If you are injured at work, WCB may cover chiropractic. We’ll ask that you supply us with a claim number and approval authorization. There are no out-of-pocket costs for you. Our fees are submitted directly to WCB. They cover only one therapy at a time out of physiotherapy, chiropractic or massage.
RCMP
As an officer, you can have 25 or more covered treatments and one pair of custom-made orthotics per year. No fee is involved, and we bill directly.
Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
If you’re a veteran, you can have chiropractic care with no fees involved. We will direct bill for your treatments.
